Adorable stone house, directly next to a fairytale castle and an old stone bridge, in a picture perfect Tuscan village, where the cobbled streets and medieval charm bring the past to life. The house is a beautiful spot, with a small terrace overlooking the bridge, with the river below and with the castle rising above.

The house is entered off the cobbled lane to a large 'portico' front door and into an entrance hall. The kitchen/ living room is light and bright and well-equipped with dishwasher, and with two large windows open on to the lovely view, and it is spacious enough tor a large table and chairs to cope with sociable lunches with friends. The double bedroom is large and well-appointment. There is a modern bathroom. Upstairs is a large loft double bedroom, with room for plenty of guests and a bathroom (WC, no shower). On the lower level, accessed with an internal staircase, are two linked 'cantina', (storerooms) in beautiful stone, with a pretty balcony/terrace off, overlooking the river. These rooms as currently used for storage and as a laundry area, and have the potential to add to the accommodation.

There is a lovely restaurant in the village with tables on the banks of the river for 'alfresco' dining, and the village is within walking distance of the town of Fivizzano. Fivizzano is a medieval walled town with a central cobbled piazza and is often referred to as the Florence of Lunigiana. The bustling town hosts many cultural events over the summer with concerts in the piazza and reenactments of medieval parades. With its musical heritage the town also attracts international musicians during its annual folk music festival. There is a weekly market in the Medici piazza on Tuesdays and also a hospital, shops and restaurants in the town.

Lunigiana is a magical part of Tuscany. The hills that encircle Lunigiana create an intimate and relaxed atmosphere whilst the blend of the mountains and sea are extremely inviting to those who enjoy the outdoors. The rolling landscape is liberally sprinkled with castles of Medici or Malaspina vintage and for lovers of the coast the sea is only half-an-hour away. The golden sandy beaches around Lerici and the pebble coves of the Cinque Terre are ideal for swimming and sailing and are full of life with busy coffee bars, restaurants and shops . The area is criss-crossed with marked footpaths for walks to the hills and mountains. The airports of Pisa, Parma and Genova are all just over an hour away.
