Châteauneuf du Faou has so much to offer! As well as great restaurants and bars, the beautiful Nantes/Brest canal passes though the town, from where you get a great view of Château Trevarez, which lies about 10 minutes away. Open to the public, it is historically fascinating, has beautiful grounds and hosts a program of events throughout the year. For music lovers, the town's annual jazz festival is not to be missed, whilst the famous Vieilles Charrues music festival, held in Carhaix, can be found about 20 minutes away. The useful proximity of the N164 trunk road means that the airport at Brest, beaches and historic towns such as Pleyben and Châteaulin are all within easy reach.
