The house has mains water and electricity connection. It is set on the main road in a friendly hamlet, with its plot of land to the rear and going up a slope. The plot measures a total of 6.800 square meters. The house has a footprint of 66 square meters and is set over two floors.
The ground floor of the house used to be a local wine cellar and pub. It has a door and a window.
The first floor is accessed via stone steps to the side of the house, which end on a small terrace. Upon entering the front door, we find ourselves in a small hallway. To the left we have a partially tiled kitchen with a traditional large chimney, and to the right there is a small bedroom. Up front we enter a living room, from which there is a door to another bedroom.
To the rear of the house and about one meter away, there is an annex, formally used as a cow shed, now to store agricultural equipment and tools. This annex could be connected to the main house and thus provide more living space.
Next to the house we have a nice flat piece of land with some mature olive trees, ideal to convert into a nice terrace. There are stone steps leading up the hill and onto more terraces, with some mature fruit trees, many more olive trees and cork oaks, pine trees and endemic bushes.
The house is located in a little village with an active social life, there is a café and a social center where people gather on the weekends. There is also a small health center, an extension of the large health center of the town of Abrantes.
The property is located within a 10 minute drive (6,7 km) from the nearest river beach on the shores of the Castelo do Bode lake at Aldeia do Mato. Here you can hire canoes, kayaks, speed boats and sail boats and go for refreshing swims, there is also a café/bar.
The property is a 13 minute drive (8 km) from the larger town of Abrantes away. Abrantes has several large supermarkets, schools, library, post office, health center, river marina, banks, hospital, shops, cafe bars, restaurants, cinema and go-karting circuit. Abrantes also has a main line train station which goes to and from Lisbon. There is also a bus station which services the region and more national routes.
The nearest airport is in Lisbon, a one hour and 20 minute drive away.
