Full Description

Located around 10 to 15 minutes from the town of Casabermeja, with excellent access to Malaga, this pretty country house has good access with no dirt tracks and fabulous open views. It is within a little cluster of other country properties, so there are near neighbours, but the house is not overlooked from above.

The land is made up of two plots, with a total of 10,300m2, although much of it is sloping land. From the country lane, there is a gated access to the property and a private, concrete driveway and parking area, fully fenced. The house is located up a ramp, at the highest part of this fenced area, and on the lower level is a large terrace patio with pergola covering, beyond which is a large lower room (around 3.5 x 3.5m) which is currently used for storage, but could be made into a separate guest bedroom with small ensuite bathroom.

The main house, accessed from a concrete ramp and entrance terrace, leads into a rustic style kitchen (around 4 x 3m) on two levels. To the left is a door to the large bathroom (3.5 x 3m) which is also on two levels, and has a large bath and separate walk-in shower. This bathroom could potentially be divided into two, making half of it an ensuite bathroom to the current main bedroom.

From the kitchen is an opening into the current living/dining room, (4 x 3m) with a woodburner set into the fireplace and a door to the rear terrace. Beyond, is a bedroom, used currently as a second living room (3.5 x 3m) with double doors out on to the front terrace, with panoramic views across the valley and over a dramatic mountain range beyond. To the left of this room is an archway and a step down into the main bedroom (3.2 x 3m).

As the wall between the two living rooms is merely a thin, partition wall, it would be easy to move this wall such that the current living/dining room becomes a bedroom (the woodburner could be relocated easily) and this layout would offer privacy for the second bedroom.

Electricity is mains, and water is via a local tanker supplier who fills the deposits whenever required, usually 2 – 3 times per annum at a cost of around 90 Euros. Rain water from guttering can also be easily collected.

This lovely house, with plenty of character, such as sloping ceilings, beams and thick, ancient stone walls, is being offered for a good price, enabling most buyers extra in the budget to make changes and improvements.
