It is in the heart of Valdera, in Lajatico, you find the famous Teatro di Silenzio (the Theatre of Silence), created by the famous tenor, Andrea Bocelli, where the natural landscape creates a breathtaking amphitheatre. In the summer months international musical stars gather for a special performance. Casciana Terme is a pretty town with welcoming piazzas full of cafès. It has wonderful thermal waters and spa facilities. The nearby città d’arte (cities of art) include Volterra, San Gimignano, Palaia and Florence.
