At the northwest side of the house and directly accessed from the yard is a secluded cove with a beautiful pebbly beach. The beach is completely invisible behind the breakwater and it is virtually private, as it receives almost no visitors during the summer months. The nearby town of Kissamos has regular bus services to Chania, as well as all sorts of shops, stores and services, including banks, schools, post office, medical center and super markets. The region is ideal for easy access to many of the beautiful beaches on the west coast of the island, such as the nearby beaches of Balos and Falasarna. The distance to the city of Chania and to the international airport of West Crete is 30 and 45 minutes' drive, respectively.
