Limnes is a traditional village just 10 kilometers west of the tourist town of Agios Nikolaos, Crete.
It is a pleasant village with many inviting little cafes, taverns and shops.
There are many nice walks from Limnes and plenty pretty villages are within walking distance.

The house is in the heart of the village only a short walk to several shops and taverns in the village.

It is a two storey house comprising a kitchen/diner with a log burner, a sitting room/TV room with A/C (for heating and cooling), a room divided by a traditional Cretan ?camara? arch which is used as an office, this room has large cupboards on the one side of the arch, a good sized bathroom.
An internal staircase leads up to the upper floor where there is a double bedroom with two single beds, A/C and cupboards which has access to a good sized balcony from which there is access to the roof terrace and a double bedroom with double bed , a small en-suite shower room, A/C and access to its own big balcony.

The roof terrace has a nice shaded part and enjoys great views of the village and surrounding valley and mountains.

Only a 40 minute drive to the international airport of Heraklion Crete.

 

Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the county Lasithi and is located at the Mirabello Bay, north-east Crete, only 50mins away from the international airport of Heraklion.

Geographically the town is well protected from strong winds allowing sea sports and swimming nearly all year round.

Although Agios Nikolaos has a population of less than 20,000 it has a several banks, supermarkets, shops of every kind, doctors, a modern hospital of high standard, public swimming pool and tennis courts, yacht marina, harbour, cinema, theatre, gyms, a 9-hole golf course, schools ranging from nurseries to 6-level high school and generally all the amenities you would expect to find in a large modern European town.

The microclimate is one of the best in Greece and the moderate temperatures rarely exceed 30c in summer or fall below 15c in wintertime. This wonderful dry climate together with the natural beauty of the area has attracted most of the high class hotels of Greece to operate here.
