The house is situated in a village in the beautiful area called Controneria, in the northern part of the Lucca province, only a few kilometers from Bagni di Lucca. In Bagni di Lucca one can find amenities needed, such as super markets, bars, banks and reataurants.

The Controneria is well exposed to the sun and is known to be four celsius warmer in the Winter than Bagni di Lucca itself.

It was meant to be the Italian family who owns it, their principal home, but they decided to move closer to where their children's schools are. But before they did they restored some of it with great care.

The only thing that they didn't consider was re-profiling the stairs, the best thing to do is to move the kitchen across into one of the reception rooms thus making the entrance into a hallway with a shallow sloping staircase as opposed to the very steep one that the family lived with.

There are old cotto tiles and chestnut beams that have been sandblasted, in the rooms on the first floor and the second floor, showing their original look.

The entrance is on the ground floor, from the garden, with a modern eat in kitchen. The narrow wooden stairs taking up to the bedrooms are also here.

The next room is a sitting room with a fire place that's connected to the radiators for the central heating. Further on there's a hallway that takes to the dining room with a loft on top of it. There's also a second exit. This takes to the rear side of the house where there's a piece of land, that also belongs to the house, within old stone walls, on the other side of the narrow street.

Walking up the stairs in the kitchen the first room is a walking through room. Here one can find the one bathroom with bath. On this level there's a bedroom with a balcony . The stairs are in the walk through room and on the second floor there are two bedrooms, one smaller opening up to the stairs, and the master bedroom, They both have terrific views over the valley and the mountains.

This house will give the buyer a taste of the real Tuscan village life. It's a house ready to move into that only needs to finish to restore some parts.
