However, the house is not too remote. The national highway (Sitia/Heraklion) can be reached within a 5 minute drive and there are other villas in the area. Kavousi is approximately at 2.5 kms and here there is a supermarket, two mini-markets, bakeries, shops and tavernas. Ierapetra and the south coast are at 22 kms; Sitia is approx. 40 kms away. and Aghios Nikolaos at 29 kms. Heraklion (airport) at 90 kms.
