The ruin has a footprint of 140,77 square meters and a total construction area of 275,15 square meters as it is set over two floors. The plot measures a total of 3.080 square meters.
There are two parts to the house: one which caved in a long time ago and was probably an annex and has had a concrete terrace put on top, which can be removed. And the second, larger part is the former living accommodation, where half of the roof has gone. The ruin has already been gutted, leaving the beautiful stone walls with the window and door stone surrounds and half of the old roof structure in wood and roof tiles. From the house there are wonderful views into the surrounding landscape. This is a house waiting for the right person to come along and convert it into a unique a comfortable home and it offers lots of potential to have a large garden plot. The plot is not overlooked as this is the last house on the edge of the hamlet.
The property is situated at the end of a small tarmac lane at the end of a small hamlet. Mains electricity and water supply are right in front of the house so not expensive to connect the house. The tarmac lane ends in front of the house and from there it´s a dirt path suitable for a large tractor running alongside the boundary of the land.
To the front of the house the land is on four terraces and the larger part of the land is relatively flat. There are a large number of old olive and fig trees as well as a good number of oak trees on the land. It is suitable to keep animals, such as sheep, goats, donkeys or horses.
The property is located at the edge of a small hamlet, where we have a kindergarden and a senior day center, as well as a little church.
The nearest town is Tomar, in a distance of 13 km, or a 20 minute drive away. Tomar is a popular town with all modern day amenities including supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, hospital, wood merchants, hospital, schools, municipal sports ground, swimming pool, many guest houses and hotels and banks as well as the municipal offices.
The town of Ferreira do Zêzere is 20 km, or a 23 minute drive away. Here we have several supermarkets, post office, medical center, clinic, several schools, indoor swimming pool, library, hotels and guest houses, and all other amenities.
The closest airport to the property is situated in Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours drive by car. Porto airport is a two hours´ drive from the property.
