Location

El Cerrillo is just over one kilometre from the village, along a country lane, past other beautiful detached country houses. The property, whilst not far from other houses, benefits from total privacy, with the only house nearby being at least 100m from the property and well out of the way.

The Grounds – 5348m2

Automatic gates lead into the grounds, along a concrete driveway, past the beautiful orchards and up a tree lined drive to the large parking area in front of the house.

The orchard is planted with a wonderful assortment of citrus fruit trees and tropical fruit trees, including lemon, mandarin, plum, avocado, mango, fig and many more. It is easy to access and experimenting with the fruit trees is an interesting and rewarding pasttime.

The House

Two huge, carved wooden doors lead from the car park and outer seating terrace, into the magnificent inner courtyard with a centrally located fountain. To the left, and ahead, in the courtyard, is the main house. A door to the left leads into the fully fitted kitchen, with quality units and equipment thorughout, and beautiful lighting. Beyond is a useful utility room with door out to the pool terrace, and another door leading to a separate WC.

The living/dining room is in an L-shape, with huge vaulted ceilings, giving a true sense of space, height and light. In one corner, a spiral staircase leads up to the mezzanine libary or office area, with wooden bannister overlooking the room below. There are three sets of double patio doors in the living/dining room, two of which (sliding doors) lead to a covered terrace equipped with glass curtains, such that in the Winter this becomes an additional room or ‘conservatory’ room, and in the Summer it is open. Beyond this area is an open sun terrace. The other doors lead straight out onto the pool terrace. The living/dining room has a highly efficient log burner for the colder months.

Beyond the kitchen, a short corridor equipped with fitted wardrobes with quality wooden doors leads through to the main bedroom (25m2) with its own door out to both the courtyard and to the car parking area. This room benefits from a large ensuite bathroom with both walk-in shower and bath.
