This lovely country property is perfectly habitable and could be used as a lock up and leave holiday home or as a full time country getaway in the sun. The property is very low maintenance as it doesn't have a garden but instead a large patio area. Plenty big enough for a seating area and a barbecue.
The property itself has two bedrooms, both big enough to be doubles, an extremely spacious living room which is where the front door is and where the bedrooms come off of and then the kitchen diner to the back as well as the family bathroom. The kitchen diner has direct access out onto the patio area. In the kitchen there is a large, open fireplace which, if in-cooperated correctly, could be made into a nice feature.
The house is walking distance to a café and restaurant and is only a 2 minute drive away from the village of São Pedro. São Pedro has all the amenities such as cafés, restaurants, pharmacy, doctor surgery with English speaking doctor and ATM.
Tomar, which has supermarkets, shops, builders merchants, cafes, restaurants, health centres, schools, a weekly market, swimming pools and historic Convento do Cristo and Castle constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th century is around 10 minutes away.
To Castelo de Bode Lake it is only around 5 km. This lake is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including swimming, sailing, canoeing, scuba diving, wind surfing and water skiing.
The lake is also a haven for wildlife and there are many river beaches close to the property, ideal for relaxing on sunny days at the water's edge.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' drive from the cottage, though it is possible to utilize either train or bus for this journey. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
