Full Description

An old, well cherished and well taken care of country house with a wonderful plot of land for sale in the area of Beco, Ferreira do Zêzere.
The house has a footprint of 269,70 square meters and is set over two levels. The total area of the property measures 6.000 square meters.
The house is connected to mains water and there are three wells on the land for irrigation purposes.
The house briefly comprises of:
The ground level is composed of storage spaces, and a large workshop with a wine cellar.
We can enter the property through a pedestal entrance, which leads into the patio area of the house. To the left, there is a large separate storage building, with a vehicle entrance to one end, which is accessed through a vehicle gate from the lane. To the front of this building, there is a shaded terrace, ideal for alfresco meals, where you sit looking into the wonderful plot with lots of different fruit trees.
Next to this storage building, there is a shed where currently we have a large stack of fire wood. Next to this we have a partially tiled bathroom, with shower basin, toilet and pedestal sink. This bathroom is very practical to use to wash after having worked on the land.
To the right of the entrance to the patio area, we have the main door to the house and next to it a wonderful bbq with chimney, a work bank and a sink.
When entering the house through the patio door, we enter first into a small den with traditional style decorative tiles on the walls and space for a large wardrobe. To the right we have access to a bathroom with shower cubicle, toilet and pedestal sink. From this den we enter into a large kitchen/dining room. To the left, we have a partially tiled, fully equipped kitchen with a traditional open fireplace with terracotta floor tiles. To the left, we have the large dining area. The walls here are decorated with tiles in a traditional historic pattern.
From the center of this room, we enter a long corridor, where the walls are also decorated with tiles in a traditional historic pattern, and the floor is tiled in parquet style tiles.
From this corridor we have access to two bedrooms on the left hand side and one large storage room, currently being used to store fire wood. This room has a door to the exterior, and it could easily be transformed into another two bedrooms or a bedroom with en-suite bathroom or whatever one would wish.
At the end of the corridor, we enter into a living room with open fire place in one corner. From the living room, to the left we have access to a third bedroom.
From the living room we then have access to yet another corrido. Turning right, we access the second front door of the house. This building used to be two separate houses which were then connected at some point.
So when we come into this second front door, we enter the corridor, which to the left leads us into the living room. The corridor is l-shaped. Turning right, we have a country style kitchen with a number of vintage kitchen units installed. Opposite the kitchen, we have yet a fourth bedroom, and another smaller room which gives us access to the partially tiled family bathroom with bath tub, toilet, bidet and pedestal sink. The floor in this bathroom is tiled with traditional hydraulic tiles. At the end of this corridor we have a small winter garden or conservatory with a door to steps leading up the exterior wall of the house and onto a small terrace. From here we can appreciate that the roof of the property is new. We also have wonderful views into the garden of the property.
At this end of the house, we have animal sheds and a fenced area formerly utilized as a dog kennel.
The large plot of land to the rear of the house is in very good state of maintenance and has an abundancy of all sorts of fruit trees and three wells with lots of water running all year long.
The property is located between Cabaços, which has a weekly market, cafes, restaurants, bank, pharmacy, post office, mini-markets and one small supermarket, and the larger town of Ferreira do Zezere. There is a large weekly market in the council town of Ferrira do Zezere, several supermarkets, post office, medical center, clinic, several schools, indoor swimming pool, library, hotels and guest houses, and all other amenities.
