The town of Caldas da Rainha has supermarkets, a thriving town centre with cafes, restaurants, shopping mall, entertainment venues, a fabulous centre park where there are often events taking place, hospital, a daily fruit and vegetable market where you can enjoy fresh local produce including wonderful cheeses, fresh bread, olives, beautiful plants and flowers. On a Monday there is the “Monday” general market where you can buy almost anything for the home and garden.

There is a very efficient bus and train service from Caldas da Rainha.

The closest beach is located at Foz do Arelho which is 20 minutes away. The village of Foz do Arelho has several cafes and restaurants, there are shops, mini-markets, bank, pharmacy and all the amenities you would expect from a village of this size. The beaches of Foz do Arelho are simply stunning, on the one side you have the Atlantic Ocean and on the other the calmness of the Obidos Lagoon.

Lisbon and Lisbon Airport are an hour away.
