This beautiful property definitely has the 'wow' factor. With its spacious social rooms and luxurious sleeping quarters, it really is a one of a kind property.
The property is flooded with natural light as the current were very conscious about fitting as much windows as possible, in order to get as much light as possible. There are also various varandas scattered around the property, nearly every bedroom has their own.
All of the land is walled and upon approaching the property, we have an electric gate that opens up to reveal a typical Portuguese cobbled driveway. There are two doors, one that leads into the kitchen which is the more practical entrance but the main entrance leads into an entrance hall which opens up into the living room.
Entering in via the kitchen door, we have a small cloakroom first then the kitchen. The kitchen is a good size space and is traditional wooden kitchen but very practical and stylish. There is plenty of storage space and a lovely island in the middle. There is a separate laundry room which has access out onto a large veranda.

Off of the kitchen is a hallway where there is a toilet to the left as well as the stairs leading up to the first floor and the front door in front and the living room to the right. The living room is double aspect with a windows to the lefthand side of the room and patio doors to the right. On this flor there also an office and an en-suite bedroom with a whirlpool bathtub.
Now on the upper floor we have the rest of the bedrooms. There are 5 bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suites and the rest all have built in wardrobes, two also have varandas. There is a spacious family bathroom for the other bedrooms to use.
The property also has a basement which has a space perfect for parties or functions as it has a bar, kitchen and a large space for a dining area. Separate there is also another bedroom. Next door is the garage, which is plenty big enough for two cars.
Outside there is a barbecue and seating area. The garden has a vast variety of fruit trees as well as a large amount of olive trees.
The property is only a short 2 minute drive from Tomar.
Tomar has supermarkets, shops, builders merchants, cafes, restaurants, health centres, schools, a weekly market, swimming pools and historic Convento do Cristo and Castle constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th century.
To Castelo de Bode lake it is only around 20 minutes drive. This lake is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including swimming, sailing, canoeing, scuba diving, wind surfing and water skiing. The lake is also a haven for wildlife and there are many river beaches close to the property, ideal for relaxing on sunny days at the water's edge.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' drive from the cottage, though it is possible to utilize either train or bus for this journey. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
