The delightlful hamlet of Jorox is calling.

This typical Spanish cortijo is is a slice of tranquilty. Nesteled deep in the hills of Jorox sits this agricultural hub complete with greenhouses, and space for plenty of animals.

The main property boasts all the characteristics you would expect from a Andalusian farmhouse: thick walls, terracotta tiles, wooden beams and a stunning setting.

Outside are a series of terraces as well as an elevated terrace above the main house. To the side of the property are two greenhouses used for seedlings and a wooden casita.

The idyllic village of Yunquera sits between El Burgo and Alozaina on the Ronda – Málaga road. Entering the relatively large village, piece and tranquillity meets you. Surrounded by spectacular mountain peaks, which winter snow covers for a few weeks each year, you feel embraced by the beauty of Mother Nature.

Life in this somewhat excluded village goes at a slower pace. Surrounded by olive and citrus farmers and also home to wine growers, there are many wonderful local products available in the village shops, bars and restaurants. We especially love the fresh baked bread rolls of the local bakery!

The authentic streets with some of the most beautiful whitewashed buildings in Andalusia make Yunquera a truly charming place to be. When there are festivities, the whole village decorates the streets and houses together with beautifully coloured flowers and flags. Close to the village is stunning nature to explore, ideal for hiking, biking or horse riding. On a weekend evening, you can join the locals at the foot of the Nuestra Señora de la Encarnacíon church for a drink and a tapas at one of bars.

Yunquera is located 65 minutes (60 km.) from the city of Málaga and the airport. The beaches of the Costa del Sol (Torremolinos) are a 55 minutes (55 km.) drive away.
