The popular town and beaches of Sao Martinho do Porto are a five minute drive away. Sao Martinho is famous for it's shell shaped harbour providing safe swimming for families. There are many shops, cafes, supermarket and other amenities in Sao Martinho.

15 minutes away is the town of Caldas da Rainha. Caldas is a good sized town with a fabulous town centre filled with a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. There are also hotels and a cultural centre where there is a regular programme of music, theatre and performing arts in addition to various events. There is a daily fruit and vegetable market where you can purchase local produce, fruit, vegetables as well as cheeses, breads, flowers and a variety of other local items.

On Mondays there is a large market where you can buy almost anything for the home and garden.

Lisbon and Lisbon Airport are less than an hour away.
