After a short walk from the village car park, the house is entered up steps to a beautiful stone dining terrace with wonderful views. Glass doors from the terrace go through to both the kitchen and the living room. The kitchen is well-equipped, with marble sink, wood-fired pizza oven, washing machine, large dining table and chairs, and comfortable sofa area. Up a spiral staircase is a sweet mezzanine bedroom and bathroom, with low head height and skylights.

Downstairs is another small bedroom and an exceptionally large bathroom in a stone vaulted room with bath and double shower.

In addition there is a further room, which could provide an additional bedroom or living room, to restore. There is central heating with attractive radiators.

The house is full of charm and character, with stone floors and beamed ceilings.The lovely terrace is of particular note. It is a perfect place to relax and has a built in barbecue to enjoy on sociable evenings.

Situated close to the town of Villafranca in Lunigiana which is between Aulla and Pontremoli, in the centre of the area of Lunigiana. Take time to discover the old town centre where you will find some lovely restaurants and local amenities including banks, supermarkets and a weekly market. There is also a train station in town and a swimming pool and sport facilities. A kilometre away you can visit the delightful town of Filetto. Meander your way through the entire town where you will find every street is linked to a stone passage or bridge. Filetto is best enjoyed in the month of August when it opens its doors and hosts the annual medieval festival where all the villagers are dressed up and re-enacting a bygone age.

Lunigiana is a magical part of Tuscany. The rolling landscape is liberally sprinkled with castles of Medici or Malaspina vintage but for lovers of the coast the sea is only half-an-hours’ drive away. There is breath-taking scenery and you simply feel a huge sense of well-being radiating from the sunshine, glorious countryside, delicious food and wine, kind and friendly locals and most importantly, from the sense of tradition and community among people that is rarely seen in modern day life.The golden sandy beaches around Lerici and the pebble coves of the Cinque Terre are ideal for swimming and sailing. The area is criss-crossed with marked footpaths for walks to the hills and mountains. The airports of Pisa, Parma and Genova are all within an easy drive.
