Full Description

These three pretty houses are built on land with mature trees and fruit trees, in a very quiet area just 10 minutes on foot from St Ambroix. The land is fully fenced and gated. The houses have been used as gites for several years, the owners living off site, but it is possible for the owners to live in one house, and to rent out the others...or even divide up the houses between three families. The accounts for 17 years are available.
Two houses have three bedrooms, and the third has two bedrooms. They each have plenty of space around them, and the "park" is ideal for children. There is a large pool, 6 x 12m2.
Although theoretically situated in a flood zone, the area hasn't been flooded since 1958, and since that time a dam has been built up in the valley.
Each house is perfectly fitted out, and comes with: dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, TV. The property is sold with all the furniture, and the laundry, and the cutlery.
The medieval market town of St Ambroix, a few minutes away, has primary and secondary schools, three supermarkets, and lots of individual food shops. There is a very large lively weekly market, and the town hold many festivals and antique fairs. There is a weekly "vide greniers" every Saturday in the main square. It is just 20 minutes from the beautifully renovated Renaissance village of Barjac, which also holds markets and a very famous antique fair.
In this region swimming is popular in isolated and magical surrounding rivers, and other outdoor activities include canoeing, horse-riding, kayaking, cycling and mountain climbing. There are famous caves including the Caverne Pont d'Arc, with its cave paintings, recently opened to the public. The Ardèche Gorges are very close by and are not to be missed. You can swim in the rivers, go to water parks, visit lovely old walled towns, have a coffee in the sunshine or go wine tasting at one of the many vineyards.
