About a minute away there is a lookout point with lovely views and an old historic building where the women of the village used to wash clothes, that has been renovated to what it once would have been with natural running water, and is now a very beautiful and relaxing place to visit.

The village itself has plenty of facilities, from local food shops, chemist, banks, and an excellent variety of bars and restaurants, school, medical centre and bus services to Velez-Malaga and the coast and a large municipal outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the valley.
