This lovely villa is set over two floors and has spacious rooms, flooded with natural light. The villa has great curb appeal as it has a gated entrance with a driveway leading up to the property. It has a landscaped garden which has been beautifully done to both sides of the driveway so it makes quite the impact.
The property's main entrance leads into a hallway which opens out onto a large open space kitchen diner. There is a lounge area and bar to one side and the kitchen to the other. This room is extremely spacious and has double doors leading directly out onto the swimming pool area. Also on this level is the laundry rooms, a toilet and an en-suite bedroom. This level could easily be turned into a separate living accommodation as it is completely independent from the main living accommodation.
Going upstairs, we have a large hall way which has a small office area. Directly in front is the large living room. This room is flooded with natural light as there are four sets of patio doors leading out onto the veranda which to the back has lake views. There is also another door in the living room leading into the kitchen.
The kitchen has recently been fitted is stylish and modern but also sophisticated at the same time. It has plenty of storage space and all of the electrical goods are fitted into the kitchen units itself. In total there are two ovens, a microwave, an American style fridge freezer and a dishwasher. The worktops are granite and are a lovely shade of grey, tying in well with the units. Also incorporated in with the units is a breakfast. From the kitchen is access onto the veranda, again with the lake views.
On this floor there are three bedrooms, two for visitors and the master sweet. The master suite is spacious and has two sets of built in wardrobes. It also has a large, en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle. The other two bedrooms are both doubles and both have built in wardrobes. The family bathroom has a bath tub with a shower over the top.
Now to the outside of the property. The swimming pool has patio all around it and there is a wooden porch area with a barbecue and bread oven. Perfect to keep out of the hot sun. There is an outside toilet as well. To the front of the house, there is another shaded seating area and a double garage with a mezzanine for storage and automatic up and over doors.
The property is situated near the village of Serra, which has several cafes and a mini-market, health centre, post office, butcher, ATM, petrol station, pet/agricultural supplies, a boat keeping and builders' yard. Each Sunday, there is a small market in the village selling bread, fruit and vegetables, plants, shoes and clothing
Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir is only a short walk from the property. This lake is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including swimming, sailing, canoeing, scuba diving, wind surfing and water skiing. The lake is also a haven for wildlife and there are many river beaches close to the property, ideal for relaxing sunny days at the water's edge.
The larger, historic town of Tomar, which is home to the Convento do Cristo, is reached in only fifteen minutes by car.
Tomar is a bustling market town, which has a good variety of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, banks, shops, pharmacies, health centres, sports centres, library, university, hospital, bus and train station, historic monuments and parks. It is home to large, bustling and very popular market every Friday
The house is just 90 minutes to the magnificent Silver Coast resorts and 2 hours to the Serra da Estrela, Portugal's highest mountains and ski area
The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and a quarter hours by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of airlines, operating regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom, other European countries and across the Atlantic
