The house has the best of both worlds. It's an extremely well built property with all the modern commodities but with a rustic touch to it giving it a nice homely feel. The property has garden all around giving it total privacy, your own little slice of paradise.
Upon entering the grounds of the property, we are welcomed by some large gates equipped with a video doorman system. There are plenty of shady spots for parking given by the various oak trees on the plot.
The more practical of entrances is via the kitchen door. Going up the few steps onto the porch, we enter into the kitchen. The kitchen is very spacious and lots of storage. There is a feature window above the sink providing excellent views out over the garden. In the corridor where the bedrooms are is another wood burning stove and a large set of built in storage cupboards. The two stoves are connected to pipes in the ceiling that pulls the hot air around the whole house, this way making the most out of the heat of the stove.
The property has in total 17.020sqm of land filled with various types of trees such as cherry, pears, oranges, walnuts, lemon and apricot as well as olives and various oak and pine trees.
The property is situated in a friendly village that is located around 13km from Ferreira do Zêzere and 18km from Tomar.
Tomar is a bustling market town, which has a good variety of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, banks, shops, pharmacies, health centres, sports centres, library, university, hospital, bus and train station, historic monuments and parks.
Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir, is around 20 minutes' drive. Castelo do Bode lake is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including swimming, sailing, canoeing, scuba diving and water skiing. The lake is also a haven for wild life and there are many river beaches close to the property where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and a quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
