A very rustic style village house in a pretty hamlet located around 20 minutes from Vélez-Málaga. The whole hamlet is pedestrian, with pretty, narrow streets and little steps with a large communal car park at the edge of the hamlet. This house is located at the edge of the hamlet with magnificent views.

From the street, a private little outdoor area has 3 or 4 wide steps to the front door. The front door leads straight into the kitchen (4 x 3m). Some of the rooms in this house are not square, they are an interesting shape and the kitchen is one of these rooms! From the kitchen, walk through a beamed doorway into the lower living room, (4.5 x 3m) with a woodburner fireplace at one end. As the walls are so amazingly thick, and there is almost a cavehouse-like feel to some rooms in this house, the woodburner heats the area wonderfully in Winter!

From the living room, a step or so down takes you to the first bedroom (4 x 3m). This is a light and airy room, with a lovely ‘Juliet’ balcony overlooking wonderful views of the river valley that runs alongside the village – a lovely view to wake up to each morning! From this bedroom, steep narrow stairs lead down to a little landing area: to your right, the bathroom, (around 3 x 2.5m), with large walk-in shower area. To the left, the second bedroom, (4.5 x 3.5m) with a door to a separate WC and sink.

Back in the living room, there are stairs that lead to the upper living room. This room (5 x 2.5m) could be a third bedroom but is used by the current owners as a ‘daytime’ room, as from here, doors lead onto the lovely terrace.

The terrace (9 x 3m) is a delightful place to spend much of your time, in this lovely little house. The terrace is divided into two areas; the first, a sitting and eating area, with built-in seating and wind breaks to make it a real suntrap on breezy days; beyond that, a more open part of the terrace, ideal for sunbathing and barbeques. The views all around are just beautiful!

If you are looking for really rustic, charming, and slightly ‘quirky’, this house will be your sort of house! It could be ideal for maybe a couple or family looking for a very traditional place to get away to, to forget about the world and live the quiet, village life, amongst the local country folk. It could also be let to Summer tourists.

This hamlet feels free from the worries of the world and hidden away -and yet it is only a 15 minute ride on a good, tarmac road, to the main A356, from where you can be in Velez-Malaga town in 5 minutes and the coast in under 10. The village has a little church and vans and mobile shops visit every day if you don’t feel like driving into town!
