Set in the pretty traditional village of Kato Chorio, Ierapetra, Crete this is a very pretty renovated stone house.
The house is just off the large village square where a few restaurants and cafes offer local dinks and proper Cretan cuisine.

The property is separated from the village street by a white stone wall and a big blue wooden door allows access into the property.
A very pretty stone paved front yard with a few trees and flowers and a couple of coffee tables, chairs and benches give a rather inviting feel to the house.
A small but practical kitchen is at the left as we enter the house.  The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, a cooker/oven and has many drawers and cupboards the original kitchen fireplace is there but is now only a decor feature.

Next to the kitchen is a dining room lounge equipped with a log burner and and a large dining table, a few steps up and through a traditional Cretan ?Camara? arch into the next room that can be used either as an extra bedroom but is mainly used as a living room/sitting room.
Also on this floor is a third room which is used as a reading room/office but could also be used as an extra bedroom if needed and a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower, there is an air heater in the bathroom and the washing machine is also installed here.

A wooden staircase leads up to the main bedroom.  This is a large airy room with lots of light allowed by the window and two balcony doors, it has the original wooden ceiling which is well sealed and painted white to match the white walls and furniture. The one balcony door leads to a small village street, the other gives access to the attractive roof terrace.

Very close to the house is a bus stop with frequent routes to Ierapetra, Agios Nikolaos and to Heraklion the island capital.

Ierapetra is only a short drive to Kato Chorio (6km) this is the closest large town where you will find many shops, services and amenities such as super markets, banks, post office, doctors practices, pharmacies,  hospital etc.
There are many sandy beaches in and around Ierapetra.
The province capital and larger town on the north coast Agios Nikolaos is a 30 minute drive.

Kato Chorio is about 1 hour and fifteen minutes to the international aiport of Heraklion.
