The apartment is in the heart of Perpignan, a southern French city near the Mediterranean coast and the border with Spain in the lovely region of Pyrénees-Orientales. From here it is only 10 minutes' drive to a beautiful Mediterranean beach, 20 minutes to the Spanish border and one hour to the Pyreneean ski resorts. There are inexpensive bus connections to Perpignan airport and Canet Plage, a nearby beach, from bus stops which are just a few minutes' walk from the apartment - so you can come and stay safe in the knowledge that you do not need a car to get around. Perpignan is a French city with significant Catalan influence which makes it so interesting. It has lovely historical buildings, markets, shops and great selection of restaurant, bars, wine shops and two rugby stadiums.
