This lovely property has great sun exposure, spacious rooms and easy access for people with low mobility. All of the living accommodation is on the upper floor but you can pull the car around to the back of the property, into the garage and then there is a stair lift that will take you up onto the first floor.
On the first floor, there are three good sized bedrooms one of which is en-suite. All of them have lots of natural light and are all plenty big enough to accommodate double beds. Two of the three bedrooms, the back ones, have access to a balcony which have great views over the house's garden.
The property's kitchen is double aspect and also has lots of natural light. It has plenty of storage space. From the kitchen there is a door that leads out onto a balcony which has stairs down to the garden. Through the hallway we have another door which leads into the living room. This space has again lots of natural as it has patio doors leads out onto the front porch. There is an enclosed fir place with air vents which help to circulate the warm air and there is also an air conditioning unit that does both hot and cold air.
Now in the basement of the property, we have the garage which would easily fit 3-4 cars, a recently fitted bathroom which accommodates the independent studio area. In the studio, there is a kitchenette and a sofa bed so perfect for when you have family or friends over to stay. Here is where the access is for the stair lift. So you could park in the garage and then use the lift to get up to the top level where all of the living accommodation is.
The property's garden is extremely well laid out and it was a professional gardener who designed it and also maintains it. There is a great variety of fruit trees, bushes and shrubs. There is also a covered barbecue area and the space where the oil tank and boiler is for the central heating.
The property is located in the village of Junceira which has a supermarket, cafés, restaurant, petrol station, health centre and a small hardware shop.
The larger, historic town of Tomar, which is home to the Convento do Cristo, is only ten minutes by car.
Tomar is a bustling market town, which has a good variety of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, banks, shops, pharmacies, health centres, sports centres, library, university, hospital, bus and train station, historic monuments and parks.
Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir, is only ten minutes drive in the opposite direction. Castelo do Bode lake is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including swimming, sailing, canoeing, scuba diving and water skiing. The lake is also a haven for wild life and there are many river beaches close to the property where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and a quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
