THE VENDORS SAY : "Prior to us taking the lake over the previous owners advised us that they were receiving £750 per week for the lodge and the lake together after Angling lines took out their commission. Last year(2017) was our first year open and we did not start until march as we had to clear the lake of several fallen trees and clear around the banks of the lake. We did six weeks of promotional prizes at carp shows back in the uk giving free weeks to winners and our prices were kept low again to get the lakes name out to the fishing community so we only turned over approx £4000, this was for drive and survive only.This year has seen an improvement albeit not helped by the wet winter and we didn?t start trading until April giving the option of use of the caravn. So far we have turned over approx £7000, these figures do not include sundry sales at the lake including Meal Deals,Bait ... if the lake is let out along with the lodge it has the potential to earn during the summer £26000. We have never netted or stunned the lake to do a stock take its something we personally dont agree with.we estimate that there are around 100 fishes in here based on customers catch records and having a look at photos we get from them and our own, we ask all customers to indicate if they feel they have caught a certain fish twice,this has only happened a couple of times. As to Why we are selling. It was always part of our plan to only have this for 2 to 3 years just to get our foothold in France and to give us some income until we can start drawing on our pensions,which is next year so we want to sell up now get into our new home over here and basically retire"
