Full Description
A stone built gite within the original outline of the old walled village, it was converted from an agricultural building (une remise) in the first decade of the 21st century. The stone walls are half a metre thick and this helps to keep the interior cool in the summer. The house is double-glazed and in a quiet location.
The village of Moux is situated halfway between the mediaeval city of Carcassonne and the former Roman port town of Narbonne. In the village you'll find a convenience store selling fresh bread seven days a week, a bar/café/restaurant, a post office, pharmacy and a doctor's surgery. Close by is the Canal du Midi and a short drive will take you to the old castles of the Cathars. The Mediterranean is about a 40 minute drive away.
