The house is connected to both mains electricity and mains water and has a footprint of 270 square meters and is set over two floors plus attic.
The house sits on the curb in the old part of the town, very near to the schools and is set over two floors. The main entrance door opens into a marble covered den, from which we have the marble faced staircase to the first floor up front. To the left, we have a door to a large bedroom with built-in wardrobe, with a window to the street and a modern en-suite bathroom with toilet, vanity basin with cupboard underneath and a shower cubicle. The bathroom also has a window. To the right hand side of the den, we have a door to another modern bathroom, this one with a large walk-in shower, a vanity basin with cupboard underneath, a toilet and space for a washing machine. The rest of the ground floor is occupied by the large open space kitchen and dining/living room. There is an open fireplace in this room. There is also a large door, large enough for a car to pass through, so that a corner of this room could be converted into a garage.
Now going up the stairs from the entrance den, we arrive at the end of a long corridor. We have two large bedrooms at one end, each with a built-in wardrobe. Down the corridor the next room is a partially tiled, functional kitchen. The next room is a family bathroom with toilet, bidet, pedestal sink, and bathtub. The last room is a good sized living room with tiled floor and an open fireplace at the far end.
From the corridor there is a door to the cement stairs leading up to the attic. The attic could easily be converted into a roof terrace to gain some exterior space for the house.
The house is located in the historic part of Cernache do Bonjardim, within walking distance of all amenities.
Cernache do Bonjardim is a lively little town and has cafes, bars, shops, mini-market, pharmacy and schools, and outdoor summer pool and is easy to access off the IC8 dual carriageway.
The larger town of Sertã is 10 km away, here we have several supermarkets, shops, restaurants, banks, schools, health centers, cafe bars, a very pleasant river side park and municipal buildings.
The Castelo do Bode lake is also 10 km away, the nearest river beach being the Nautical Center Trízio, with its popular river beach café and cable park for wake boarding.
The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately two hours´ drive way. Porto airport is slightly further taking approximately two and a half hours. Both Lisbon and Porto airports are serviced by several low cost airlines which operated regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
