A stone staircase leads to the main living accommodation which is on the first floor. A door opens into a living room. There are two bedrooms off the living room. A door leads to a lobby. A door leads off to bedrooms either side. One of these rooms would be needed for a bathroom. There is a staircase from one room to the attic. The attic is dry and there is no sign of damp problems or leaks. From the lobby there is a staircase down to the adega and old kitchen. The adega is a good size and will make great storage but does not have the head height to convert to usable living accommodation. The roof of the old kitchen has collapsed and needs replacing. There is a bread oven at one end. This is a good size room and would make a great kitchen dining room. A door leads to the back garden. Behind the house is a lovely courtyard area.

I have been advised that the cost of renovating this cottage will be between €32,000 and €40,000 depending on what is required and the finishes chosen.

Since the photos were taken the rubbish has been removed from the stone house.


There is an open fronted barn which would make a great outside kitchen and entertainment area. Behind the barn are some old buildings which were for storage or animal sheds. There is a detached garage of 32 m2 which has a concrete floor and a mezzanine area. There is a door to the garden. This building also has the potential for habitation subject to permissions.

The land itself is overgrown and requires cleaning. It has two large flat terraces with numerous fruit trees including olive, orange, lemon, fig, cherry, plum, apple, nespera and pomegranate. There are three wells. The land is fenced or walled on three sides and there is a clear boundary at the bottom.
