It belongs to the city of Denia (which is 18 km away); to the North are the villages of Tormos and Pego, to the South, Murla and Alcalali, to the East is the village of Benidoleig and to the West, Vall d’Ebo and Vall d’Laguart.

Orba is home to just over 2000 inhabitants, although it is increasing in popularity with both foreign residents and holidaymakers. The town is very convenient being situated close to both Alicante and Valencia airports.

There are plenty of restaurants, ventas and bars in and around Orba. Most offer a good value ‘Menu of the Day’ and of course the speciality of the region, Paella, is always on the menu. There are many places serving snacks and tapas, a pizza restaurant in the centre and there is even an Indian restaurant on the outskirts of the village.

For those who wish to enjoy and celebrate a traditional Spanish fiesta (festival), the biggest festival is held in May over a four-day weekend and a week-long fiesta is held at the end of July beginning of August. If you are adventurous, then the bull running season takes place throughout June and July.

Orba enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, very hot in summer and protected by surrounding mountains against the cold North winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.

The climate of the area as one of the most equitable in the world - neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination.
