History and Architecture:
According to historical documents dating back to the end of its construction in 1802, the building was very prominent and a pointer of the time, neoclassic style, designed by architect xxxxxx, who won the first prize for architecture from the Royal Society of Friends of the Country of the Kingdom of Granada in 1797. For decades was used as a boarding school, but afterwards became a residential property. The building has commercial premises, 2 upper floors and tower of square design, distributed in several different volumes, with an interior courtyard.
The main entrance is decorated with 4 columns of stones, 2 on each side, on the main facade is decorated with two shields, one on each side of the central window of the first floor, and a decorative finish just above this window. On the 2nd floor are openings in the style of arches of about 2 meters tall each, with breastplates finished in stone in each arche. The holes in the ground floor and the first floor are lined with brick finish, the rest of the facade is finished with mortar. The lateral facade, which limits to a square, has lower access to business premises, and the top two floors are the same style in the main facade.
Throughout the ages there have been various restorations and renovations, of which there is no record in written documents but are clearly visible due to changes in materials and wear compared with the original materials.
