The nearest cafe is a comfortable 25 min walk and the town of Vila Nova de Poiares a 5 min drive and offers most everyday facilities including schools, health centre, supermarkets, weekly local markets, gym, banks, vets, bowling alley, Go kart track, indoor & outdoor swimming pools etc. There is also a bus terminal offering regular bus services into Coimbra and the surrounding towns and villages. The area is popular with international expats and has a good local community.
