Lakonia are a complex of small villages close to the capital of the Lasithi province, Agios Nikolaos.
There is a wonderful tavern and coffee shop within a 5 minute walk to the house.
The house sits in a private, fenced and gated plot of about 3000 square meters.
The top part of the plot (2000 square meters) is in the village planning zone, meaning that it is possible to apply for a building license for a house or houses of up to 400 square meters in size.
The house which has been called 'Agapi' by its current owners (agapi means love in Greek) has been renovated with a lot of attention to detail, a lot of thought and of course a lot of love as the current owners planned to use this as their permanent home and have only decided to sell it due to family matters.
The entrance to the house leads in to the living room. There is a stone fireplace at the left of the room which is the sitting area and the right side of the room is used as a reading area/ computer room study. There is A/C in this room.

On the left of the corridor is the houses main bathroom/shower room, on the right a singe bedroom which has a fitted wardrobe. At the end of the corridor is the main/master bedroom which has A/C and its own en-suite shower room.
Next door to the master bedroom is the kitchen which is fully fitted with wooden cupboards, wooden work tops and equipped with oven, microwave, gas cook top and freezer/refrigerator.
From the kitchen we have access to the houses back yard and to a covered storage room/utility room of about 25 square meters to he right and to a built BBQ/oven and sitting area to the left.
From here we have axes to the large garden/plot area which also has access through a large metal gate from the main road.
10 minute drive to the coastal town of Agios Nikolaos and to numerous sandy beaches.
Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the county Lasithi and is located at the Mirabello Bay, north-east Crete, only 45 mins away from the international airport of Heraklion.
Geographically the town is well protected from strong winds allowing sea sports and swimming nearly all year round.
Although Agios Nikolaos has a population of less than 20,000 it has a several banks, supermarkets, shops of every kind, doctors, a modern hospital of high standard, public swimming pool and tennis courts, yacht marina, harbour, cinema, theatre, gyms, a 9-hole golf course, schools ranging from nurseries to 6-level high school and generally all the amenities you would expect to find in a modern European town.
