Orba, which is a typical small Spanish village (and municipality) is situated a short distance from Denia (inland) in the valley of Gerona and by the river with the same name (the valley is often referred to as Orba-valley). The village is located only 15-20min from one of the longest (24km) and most beautiful beaches in all of Spain. Furthermore, Orba is approximately 19km/ i.e. 15-20min drive from the center of Denia and approx. 10km from the highway AP7, which is almost halfway between Alicante (city) and Valencia. Both these cities have their own international airport with direct flights to all major cities in Europe. Orba is a municipality which has been (and still is) regarded as a pearl among the local Spanish people, as well as other nationalities. The majority of the village's inhabitants live here on a permanent basis and seem to be very satisfied. Recently, this location have been discovered by yet more nationalities, such as; Norwegians who have started to appreciate what an amazing place this is. From the Orba Valley, The city of Denia and the beach is approximately a 15-20min drive away, but then you will arrive at one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Spain, along with a lovely medium sized city which is alive and vibrant all year round and where the Spanish still control the grounds and the culture. Orba is surrounded by a number of other villages/cities of different sizes, among others; Pego, Benidoleig, Ondara, Jalon, Pedreguer, Parcent and Alcalali in addition to several other small villlages. Inside Orba lies what the locals call "the cherry valley"- should not be necessary to elaborate further on what they grow here. The village of Orba has many shops, restaurants, bars and cafe's, hairdresser and even and old fashion barber shop. Four bank branches and two hardware stores. The majority of inhabitants are mostly Spanish , but Orba has become an increasingly popular place to live for many other Europeans from many different countries- primarily British. The majority of the people who live here are permanent resident, some are retired, while many also work in the local community.

As mentioned above, Orba is situated slightly inland from Denia, approx 19km /20min drive from the center of Denia and approx 10km from the highway AP7, almost midway between Alicante (city) and Valencia.
