The building and neighbouring buildings were built in the 1870s in noble materials and with all the decorative elements of the time that would later be used in the modernist buildings of the Eixample on a much larger scale: hydraulic floors, wrought iron balconies and moulded ceilings. The building and area are catalogued B1, local patrimony.
