There is a weekly market where you can buy a wide range of goods. There are many place of interest in Tomar with the best known being the Convento do Cristo and Castle that were constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th Century. There is also a beautiful river that runs through Tomar where you can sit and enjoy a coffee while taking in the beauty of the surroundings.
There are several river beaches in the surrounding areas and the Castelo do Bode Lake is 15 minutes drive away. This is a beautiful lake where you can enjoy a wide array of water sports or enjoy a scenic hike through the hills that surround the lake.
Lisbon and Lisbon Airport are approximately one and a half hours away.
