Accessible within a 1 hour drive along the motorway from Lamezia Terme airport, the little
town of Lorica offers tranquil surroundings and relaxation.
Whether you enjoy walking amongst the pine trees or along the lake side or participating in water sports, winter sports or cycling the choice is yours.
The Lake is a few minutes walk away as are the restaurants and cafes.
The town is bustling in August when many locals visit for respite from the heat and humidity of the coast, retreating for the fresh mountain air. Otherwise the town itself is pretty quiet.
If you do want to head for the coast there are a number of beaches to choose from for a day out, around 1 hours drive away.
Mt. Donato provides skiing in the village in the winter. Also, 30 minutes drive from the apartment, more skiing in the delightful village of Camigliatello.
The town of San Giovanne in Fiore, with its historical buildings, is around 30 minute drive away
and the larger town of Cosenza, offering more shopping options, is around 40 minutes drive.
Lorica and the surrounding area has seen a great deal of investment with new walkways and a new canoe training facility in the village. The ski resort, previously used as an Olympic training course is also benefiting from upgrading.
The accommodation itself is in a block of apartments, accessed via a security entrance.
There is a sitting area, kitchen and dining area. Double oak doors with shutters open onto a private terrace.
