This property is located in a very private location, no neighbors to be seen or heard. The property is situated in a protected area due to its proximity to the Castelo do Bode dam, drinking water supply for Lisbon and other communities, and currently it is not possible to obtain a building license to build a permanent house on it.
The property is within walking distance of the little river Sertã, an affluent of the Castelo do Bode dam, excellent to go for a swim, hop on your rowing or motor boat or go for a canoe trip, for fishing or just to chill. Three km downstream you enter the Castelo do Bode reservoir and in another five km on the water there is the water sports center Clube Náutico do Zêzere in Trísio.
The property is located six km from the center of the town of Cernache do Bonjardim, which has cafés, bars, shops, supermarket, pharmacy and schools.
The larger town of Sertã is 16 km away.
Sertã has several supermarkets, shops, restaurants, banks, indoor and outdoor pools, a public library, schools, health centers, café bars, parks and municipal buildings and is easy to access off the IC8 dual carriageway.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around two hours and fifteen minutes. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights to and from the United Kingdom and other Europe countries.
Porto airport, which is also serviced by a number of low cost airlines, is around a two and a half hours´ drive away.
