Full Description

This property due to it's layout would suit several purposes. It is perfect for a lock-up and leave low maintenance holiday home, a business opportunity with annex being a self contained letting opportunity or as a family home.
There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a separate 80m2 annex, outside kitchen area and outside also is a well that provides water for irrigation.
In detail …....
You enter the property via double metal gates into an enclosed courtyard where it is possible to park a car. From here there is a separate annexe which is 80m2 in size. At the present time it is being used as storage but could easily be turned into a separate accommodation if wished.
The entrance to the main area of the house is via a covered verandah which leads to the front door and opens into the lower level of the home.
The whole of this level has stone flooring and there are 3 rooms as well as a separate toilet, basin and shower room that has a wooden ceiling and is fully tiled with a small window to the courtyard.
The first room has stone flooring and chestnut beams, double doors then lead into another room which also has stone flooring and a chestnut ceiling. The third room is the same as the other two on this level, apart from a doorway to the outside.
From the courtyard verandah is another door which leads to the upper level of the house.
On entering the property you are met by a wide treated pine staircase which leads to a living area which has a corner woodburner and five windows that flood this area with natural light. The ceiling has chestnut beams and is boarded out between the beams.
Part glazed doors lead into a large kitchen with matching upper and lower units that incorporate a double stainless steel sink with mixer tap, a range cooker and extractor hood, a space for a fridge/freezer and plumbing for a dishwasher. There is a large matching display storage cabinet in the kitchen. In addition there is a water heater which can be run off gas or via the solar panels on the roof. The kitchen I fully tiled and there is a window to the courtyard.
The family bathroom is fully tiled and has a toilet, bidet, basin and shower and connection for a washing machine and a window to the rear.
Further along the inner hallway there are stairs to the upper level. From here is the main hallway that leads off into the 4 bedrooms. All four bedrooms have solid pine flooring and two windows.
An additional staircase leads to an open attic area that is full height and has windows at either end.
Outside ….....
From the courtyard area there is a wooden pedgoda with an outside BBQ/kitchen area where there is also a beautiful working water well.
Also just off the courtyard area is a large kitchen with a bread oven, a single stainless steel sink with mixer tap, a pump which pumps water from the well. There is also wine bottle storage here and double doors to the road.
Location ….......
The house is located 5 minutes from the main town of Miranda do Corvo. This is a good sized market town where you will find doctors, pharmacy, schools, supermarkets, banks, post office cafes and everything you will need for your day to day living. There is a very popular Sunday market in Miranda do Corvo where you can buy all manner of items for the home and garden.
The town of Penela is only15 minutes away. Penela has a wonderful castle that is well worth a visit and there are a variety of cafes, restaurants and shops.
The City of Coimbra is just 20 minutes away. Coimbra is a wonderful University City and is filled with much historical significance to the area as well as beautiful buildings, architecture and public spaces. There is rarely a day in Coimbra where there is not some form of outside entertainment taking place.
Lisbon airport is an hour and forty five minutes away and Porto airport an hour and thirty minutes.
Note: The house has double glazed windows from Germany, chestnut ceiling and beams support and kambula hard wood doors. It has insulation in the roof and walls. Many of the original features have been incorporated into the house design and it has been finished to a high standard.
