Full Description

Close to the center of the traditional village of Limnes only a short walk to the restaurants, cafes and shops of the village a 5 room cottage for renovation ready to be made into a comfortable 2 or 3 bedroom house.

The property is located in a quiet street of the village opposite a private garden.
An iron gate allows access into the main property.
There is an old stone oven to the right of the entrance and an old sink/washboard to the right.
There are four rooms in this area, a large room of 23m2 with connection to a room of 14m2, a 15m2 square room to the right of these rooms and a 12m2 room to the left.
Outside and next to the gate is a large room of about 17m2.

We believe the property can be made into a comfortable 2 bedroom house with bathroom, kitchen and lounge.

The size of the plot is 107m2 whilst the rooms (including external walls) must be around 85m2.

Less than a ten minute drive to the cosmopolitan tourist town of Agios Nikolaos Crete, 3 minutesâ?? drive to the lovely town of Neapolis and very close to several, pretty, traditional, Cretan villages.

The international airport of Heraklion is only a 40 minute drive from Limnes.

Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the county Lasithi and is located at the Mirabello Bay, north-east Crete, only 45 mins away from the international airport of Heraklion.
Geographically the town is well protected from strong winds allowing sea sports and swimming nearly all year round.

Although Agios Nikolaos has a population of less than 20,000 it has several banks, supermarkets, shops of every kind, doctors, a modern hospital of high standard, public swimming pool and tennis courts, yacht marina, harbour, cinema, theatre, gyms, a 9-hole golf course, schools ranging from nurseries to 6-level high school and generally all the amenities you would expect to find in a modern European town.

The microclimate is one of the best in Greece and the moderate temperatures rarely exceed 30c in summer or fall below 15c in wintertime. This wonderful dry climate together with the natural beauty of the area has attracted most of the high class hotels of Greece to operate here.
