Full Description

This character 100 year old superbly renovated 3 bedroom stonehouse is located in Filousa and offers stunning views over the surrounding countryside. TITLE DEEDS. Furnished.

Filousa is a traditional Cypriot village on the edge of the world famous Paphos forest and is 15 minutes’ drive from the major town of Polis on the north west coast of the island.

For anyone looking for the ‘REAL CYPRUS’ look no further.

The property is located in a very quiet road containing just 3 houses which leads to a track into the neighbouring fields so there is no passing traffic.

The entrance to the property is via double gates and a short flight of stairs leads to the house.

There is also a recently built garage and a separate storeroom both with electricity and lighting. The garage has some additional storage to the rear and an electric door.

Once through the front door we come to the very large open plan lounge/diner/kitchen area.

One half of the lounge has been adapted to be used as an office whereas the focal point of the other half is a Charnwood Country 8 log burner. The property is being sold fully furnished but some of the original furniture has already been shipped overseas but what remains is included.

The diner includes a rectangular dining table large enough to easily accommodate 6 people.

The very well equipped kitchen includes BOSCH dishwasher, fridge, electric oven as well as a BEKO washing machine

The master bedroom has the benefit of an en-suite shower room complete with walk in shower unit and bidet.

Next to this bedroom is the family wet room including a heated towel rail.

The single bedroom which could also be adapted to an internal store room or a study lies between the family wet room and the 3rd bedroom. This 3rd bedroom is where the character of this property really comes into its own as this room was originally part of the stables when originally built.

Double doors lead from this bedroom to the magnificent courtyard and it is from this courtyard that the stupendous views can best be enjoyed. This property is south facing so it is possible to enjoy the wonderful Mediterranean sun throughout the day. Just imagine sitting here at both ends of the day either enjoying breakfast or an early evening cooling drink.

The courtyard has the advantage of a proportion being covered and another uncovered, so it is ideal for either sun worshippers or those who prefer a little shade. In addition there is a fully functioning BBQ and the area is fully lit. It evokes an almost magical quality to think of enjoying a floodlit BBQ at the height of summer with the lights of the neighbouring villages twinkling in the distance.

In addition to the usual features we should point out the delightful beamed ceilings and the fact that the stones are 50 centimetres thick which in addition to the insulation means that the property stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

There is also an electric garage towards the entrance to the property.

3Kv Solar System means that electric bills are very low – the last two bills which cover a two month period are €37.42 and €33.21 – both bills can be provided.- The property is connected to the electricity mains.

Additional features:

Recently installed double glazing, flyscreen’s and shutters,

Roof insulation

New waste water treatment equipment meaning that paper can be flushed down the toilet

CYTA internet and phone connection

3 kilowatt electric panels
