ABOUT THE AREA

The village is approximately fifteen kilometres from Carcassonne. This places it about an hour's drive from the Mediterranean. You can be in Montpelier in an hour and a half and even contemplate lunch in Gerona! Much of the local area is covered with vineyards providing a constant variety of excellent wines. The village itself lies in a quiet valley as the foothills of the Black Mountains rise behind.

Carcassonne airport is currently served by Ryanair, a mere twenty minutes away and from Toulouse, an hour away, one can fly BA and Easyjet amongst many other airlines. There are many lovely places to visit further afield, from the cooler Pyrenees, where you might ski in the winter, to beautiful sandy beaches and fishing ports, all within an hour's drive.
