The cortijo was originally an old mill, recently renovated to a high standard but retaining much of it’s character and many original features. It has four double bedrooms, two bathrooms, one downstairs and the other upstairs, a lounge, sitting room, dining room and fitted kitchen. There is a wood  burner that also runs a central heating system, all windows are double glazed and ceilings are insulated. 

There are two inner courtyards, one with a dip pool and patio, the other has a patio, flower bed and garden room, above which there is an enclosed roof terrace, ideal for sun bathing and barbecuing. The garage is very large, with plenty of room for the car, and enough space for a workshop. The property is close to the road and just a short drive to the E15/A7  motorway and central to  three major airports, Alicante, Murcia and Almeria. The town of Huercal-Overa is 10 minutes away, it has a large hospital, theatre and cinema, a very nice park and a large market on Mondays and a smaller market on Thursday.  A large shopping centre with  supermarkets and some very nice small shops. The town of Puerto Lumbreras is 8 minutes away, it is also a very nice town with good restaurants and bars, there is a large market on Fridays and a small vegetable market on Tuesdays. There is a museum of cave houses and they quite often have open air concerts at the castle. Both towns have indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

The city of Lorca is 20 minutes away. Lorca is a superb and very Spanish city, there is a theatre, bullring and a new shopping centre. The coast and sea side towns of Garrucha, Mojacar and San Juan are just 35 mins away.
