The property borders a tarmac lane which gives access to another two houses and from then on there are fields and forest and a dirt track to the shores of the Castelo do Bode lake. Some inhabitants of the hamlet keep their fishing boats here. There is a little café for the locals in the hamlet.
The property is 10 km from the center of the town of Cernache do Bonjardim, which cafés, restaurants, three banks and three service stations, bars, shops, mini-market, pharmacy and schools. There is a weekly market with fruit and vegetables and plants, and tools, clothes, shoes etc.
The property is 20 km from the canter of the town of Sertã. Sertã is a beautiful historic town built either side of a stunning river setting. It has many restaurants and bars as well as 3 major supermarkets, banks, schools, library, theater, cultural center, municipal swimming pool and river beach. There are also 2 weekly markets, held every Friday, one selling fruit, vegetables and livestock and the other selling clothes, tools, plants, shoes etc.
