At a distance of about 15 km there is Casciana Terme, site of an important spa where you will find an outdoor pool with water at 36 ° and all kind of treatments.

In the Alta Val d'Era area there are several medieval villages, with lovely old towns and where, especially in summer, there are festivals and fairs of various types. Peccioli is one of them, with its the Museum of Russian Icons and with the Prehistoric Park, with reproductions of the big dinosaurs standing on an outdoor path. Also Lajatico is a very attractive site: walking on the hills you can reach the Rock of Pietracassia, dating back to the Middle Ages. Another important event in Lajatico is the show at Teatro del Silenzio, where the tenor Andrea Bocelli sings every summer. Volterra and San Gimignano 30 km.
