Our lovely house with a first floor studio apartment and independent chalet is set in a beautiful situation in a quiet, very friendly hamlet only a few minutes drive from the well-known bastide towns of Eymet and Miramont de Guyenne. The house was built for us in 2005 and was positioned to take full advantage of the lovely views to the north and south and to enjoy outdoor living with terraces on both those sides. The 11000m2 of land is well tended and is partly surrounded by a very attractive variety of mature bushes and trees, including an excellent orchard.

The house has light filled, open plan living areas and three ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor, while on the first floor there is a large studio with a glazed balcony, its own kitchen area and a bathroom. There is also an independent chalet in the garden which could be let to provide a source of income.

We designed the house for very easy upkeep, with all bedrooms en-suite. Heating is very efficiently provided by a geothermic heat-pump, and fully automatic underfloor heating; the heat pump also contributes to the hot water supply. There is also a quality wood stove, though barely used due to the efficiency of the geothermic supply.


Eymet and Miramont de Guyenne offer a warm and lively welcome to locals and tourists alike. They both have a wide range of social, cultural and commercial outlets, an international population and weekly markets in their town squares throughout the year.The region itself offers a big variety of historic sites, chateaux, wonderful places to visit and a very full range of activities in which to participate. These include walking, cycling, canoeing, eating and drinking as well as many markets, festivals, concerts and social gatherings.

There are good road links to the area and an international airport at Bergerac, which is approximately half an hour's drive away.
