A 10-15 minute walk will take you to the medieval town of Obidos where there are beautiful buildings, shops, cafes, restaurants. During the year there are many festivals that take place in the town including the wonderful and fun filled Medieval Festival, the Chocolate Festival, a fabulous Christmas Festival that is a treat for adults and children alike.
The main town of Caldas da Rainha is a 10 minute drive away and here you will find a plethora of shops, cafes, restaurants, a lovely centre park area, there are also entertainment venues. Every day there is a market where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables and once a week there is the Monday market where you can purchase all manner of items for the home and garden.
