3 Bed Village House for sale
Canillas de Aceituno, Malaga, Andalucia, Spain
Full Description
A delightful and beautifully restored, large village house in one of the prettiest streets of this particularly picturesque mountain village.
The house is on 3 storeys and the front door leads into a reception room, currently used as an art gallery (around 17m2 in an L shape, plus under stairs storage space). To the right, by the front door, is a door to the first bathroom with a double shower unit, basin and WC, window to the front.
To the rear right of the reception room are the stairs, and straight ahead, double wooden doors and 2 shallow steps lead into the spacious kitchen/diner (8.5 x 3.5m) with a traditional fireplace fitted with a woodburner at the far end on the left, where the dining table stands, and the fitted kitchen at the far right hand end of the room. There is a door to the rear left into the second bathroom (2 x 1.75m) with double shower unit, basin, WC and bidet. Also accessed from the rear wall of the kitchen/dining room is the ground floor patio garden, via double wooden doors.
The patio is on three levels, with one step between each and has a laundry/utility area, open sunbathing area, and dining area, under mature vines which give wonderful natural, dappled shade in the Summer, and full sunlight in the Winter. This area is around 40m2 and enjoys beautiful views over the village and out towards the sea. It is very private, especially in the Summer when the vine leaves are thick on the vines, (along with hanging grapes!) There is a large store room accessed from this patio.
Back inside, we return to the reception area and take the stairs to the first floor. Straight ahead is a door to bedroom 1, overlooking the pretty street via a ‘juliet’ balcony. This lovely room is 4.5 x 3m. To the right, at the top of the stairs, we move into the upstairs living room, a spacious and comfortable area, on two levels, with one shallow step down (6 x 3m, and 5 x 3m). The lower area has another fire place with woodburner and there are double doors here out to the first floor terrace (5 x 3m) with lovely views at a higher level. There are also steps here that lead up to the top terrace on the second floor.
Returning to the staircase, we carry on up to the second floor, where we find two further bedrooms, the front bedroom overlooking the street, also with a ‘juliet’ balcony (3 x 3m) and the other to the rear (5 x 3.5m) with access to the top terrace with wonderful views. There is a separate WC on this floor too (2 x 1m).
This delightful village house offers comfortable living in a house that has been beautifully renovated and modernised without losing its original character, with rustic floors, thick walls and traditional, shuttered windows.
