A very unusual and beautifully restored village or town house in Almachar village, which is famous for its vineyards and quality grapes. The house is located on a quiet street, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the village.

This unusual three storey village house offers beautifully renovated space and accommodation that could be used as a holiday home for a large family, as a permanent home, or even as a small B&B. It was restored by a Danish architect and a local master builder.

Situated just a few minutes’ walk from the centre, in a very picturesque street, the house has a front street terrace (belongs to the street, but used by the owners as a front terrace, as it does not lead anywhere other than the front door!) with views over the village and countryside, with grapevines and space for outdoor dining.

The front door leads into the dining room (14.5m2) and beyond is the inner patio, which forms a central atrium, open to all three floors, with open plan stairs leading to the upper floors. To the left is a WC and to the rear of the patio is a cosy living room (6.25m2) with woodburner. Also on the ground floor is a fully fitted kitchen in rustic style (14.8m2) and it is possible to walk in a circle all around the ground floor.

Taking the stairs, the first floor consists of two front bedrooms (9.6m2 and 9m2) overlooking the street, a shower room (2.1m2), rear bedroom with alcove (14.5m2) and a side bedroom (10.5m2) plus bathroom (5.75m2). It would be possible to convert the two front bedrooms and shower room into a small self catering apartment.

The stairs continue up to the top floor, where there is a large open living space (17.5m2) and fifth bedroom (12m2). Also accessed from this floor is the outside terrace (30m2). This wonderful space is an open window onto the beautiful view, of the village, the river valley and the countryside, against the backdrop of the dramatic Sierra de Tejeda mountain range and the magnificent Maroma mountain.

The village of Almachar is a typical white Andalusian village, with lots of character, little shops, bars and restaurants, plenty of tradition, great fiestas, and more.
